1/2" Pex Tube
-
4X8X one/2" plywood, preferably sanded. *depending on how many boards you lot use you can take Home Depot or Lowes cut them down for yous, but they cannot cut curves, so def make certain you have a jigsaw!
-
Hinges depending on the height of your panel, the minimum number of hinges we used was 3, 4 if the the board was longer than 6ft.
-
ane/2" Flat head screws
-
Jigsaw
-
Sander
-
Sand paper (fourscore and 220)
-
Wood filler
HOW TO
-
Plan out your curves. Using your pex tubing draw out your curve. There is no correct or wrong way to do this. The first time we made 1, my husband calculated the curves to the verbal measurement. It's non necessary, just definitely a preference matter.
-
Using your jigsaw cut out your shape carefully. Make sure to employ proper safety equipment when operating heavy mechanism.
-
Sand, sand, sand! Using your sander, sand you backdrop, apply your lxxx grit paper to sand the backdrop and then use wood filler to go into all the cracks. Fix aside to dry and in one case complete, sand with 220 to go a smooth cease. Repeat if necessary.
4.Paint! Exterior flat paint was what I used, merely there are a ton of different options to use.
five. Assembly time! Get together all your panels and lay them out as you desire them. Since you volition be using them to support each other make sure that you have them all evenly lined upwards.
5. Using your hinges and a apartment head spiral driver, carefully screw your hinges in place. Make sure to employ the one/two" flat head screws you purchased, as the ones that come with the original hinges are as well long and will terminate up going right through your backdrop.
I'chiliad definitely non an expert, only it was so much fun to make! I promise this helps draw inspiration to your creations and would love to come across them. Tag me on Instagram!
